And it begins...

Spring sports are here and that means my days and nights will be spent at countless softball and baseball games for the next 3 months. Makes it hard to keep up with school, the house, laundry, etc. I'm just waiting for the middle of May to show up...

Wedding Plans and Puppies :)

Well the wedding plans are coming along quite nicely. When I was home for Christmas, my mom and I got A LOT done in 5 days. Stuff that should have taken like 3 months to do have just trucked right along. I have a dress, booked the reception venue, flowers, photographer, caterer and rented all the things we need to rent. We picked our invitations and centerpieces. Its been really great and fun!

We also have some fun news :) We got a PUPPY! She's oh so very cute and her name is Gabby. She's a 12 week old Shepard mix and we love her to pieces.

Thanksgiving in Denton

This year for Thanksgiving because I couldn't be home with my family I wanted to go see my Denton family so Alex and I made the treck across Texas to be there for the weekend and spend the holiday at the Batchelder's (my old boss, his wife (and my friend) Jenn and kids). I left NM on Tuesday afternoon and arrived mid evening that day and Alex flew in on Wednesday because he had to stay for work related business.

It was so great to see everyone! I got to attend a couple Mean Green basketball games and see people I worked with and hung out as well as some of my favorite donors and other friends. We had drinks with some staff of Wednesday night after the women's game and it was really nice to catch up with Mandy, Sarah, etc. On Thursday we spent the day hanging out and obviously eating. We also took some pictures. I told Jenn I would take their family pictures and the weather was so nice so we let the turkey cook and went a park. It was fun!

On Friday morning Jenn and I got up at 3:45 am and went out with all the crazies to do some shopping. It was definitely an experience but I did get a lot done and got some great deal! Pretty much done shopping except for 1 person and few odds and ends. Yay me!

Here are some pictures from the weekend along with some of the pictures I took.

Birthday trip home

For my birthday, Alex bought me a ticket to go home for the weekend which happened to be Dad's Weekend at WSU. My dad and I headed up on Friday night. We had dinner with the Pixton's and got to see my Uncle Dan and cousin Erin (their first dad's wknd!). Dad and I had a great time and then Mom, Em and Zach came to the game Saturday. We watched the Cougs lose :( and then went to New Garden YUM! It was a short and sweet trip but very worth seeing my family and best friend.
