(our last day - 6-22-10)Today the most wonderful man I've ever known left us for heaven. I know that he's up there with Grandma Lil after all these years and smiling down on us. But my heart still hurts because he was the most wonderful grandpa a girl could ever ask for.
For those of you that don't know me well, my grandpa and I were very close. My mom went back to work when I was teeeny tiny so I stayed with my mom's parents during the day. My grandma passed away when I was about 4 and after that it was me and the papa. I went there in the morning and left after mom got off work. Me and papa had lunch with her every day tho :) Papa picked me up from school everyday as well.
He taught me so many things from words and walking to the meaning of hard work. From how to make top ramen and hold a knife and fork correctly to how to loving someone. I learned about politics and the stockmarket from many hours of CNN and CSPAN (yikes) and sooooo much more.
Even though, I know he's in a better place now with our Lord, I'll still miss him and love him forever.
