Another Rangers game and weekend in Little Rock

Lacretia, who was in my sorority with me and graduated with me, just moved to Fort Worth because she's working for our sorority and serving at TCU right now. We were able to get together last week and catch a Rangers game. It was great to see her and hope we can spend more time together soon.

Last Thursday I drove the 6 hours to Little Rock to see Alex for a long weekend. It was fun to just relax on my off weekend, hang out with the boyfriend and his roommates dogs (soooo cute!) and cook the starving bachelors of deer meadows court some food :)
I've never been to Arkansas before

Texas Cougs! WSU vs. Baylor

I got the pleasure of going to watch the Cougs in Waco on Friday night. My friend Ray and I went (he's from Royal City and goes to school here). It was a fun little road trip even though the Cougs lost :( We ran into some people from the CB (Columbia Basin duh) to include my cousin's friend Wes, which was really cool because he lives in the DFW not too far away from me!

Football Weekend

Last weekend was our first home football game here in Denton and although it was a lot of prep and hard work (13 hours on Saturday, yucky) it was still very fun and I learned a lot about what goes into putting on events of this magnitude a little more indepth. Too bad we lost...but I had a great time coordinating our Friday Night @ Clark Park pep rally event on Friday and setting up tailgating and performing game operations on Saturday.

Michael (the busiest man alive) and Scrappy on stage
Talon (spirit group) Car Bash
Me on my way to pick up Coach Dodge and some players at the Holiday Inn so they could come talk to the crowd
My favorite Saturday helpers, Evelyn and Tom

Faith and Paige at the Mean Green March (a little parade in the tailgating area signaling its 3 hours until kick off)
Rach and I (sweet headset she has) at the game, game op-ing it up!

Babysitting adventures

I had the pleasure of hanging out with my boss, Paul's kids and the Deputy Athletic Directors kids while the 2 couples went to a Sheryl Crow concert in Dallas a few weeks ago. We rode scooters, went to the community pool, ate pizza, played 'let's shoot Sara with Nerf guns' and watched a movie before the boys had to hit the sack for the night. All in all it was a good time and now I like seeing them and hearing about their school, soccer and football adventures. Kind of like havin' my cousins and all the other kids I know at home around :)

From the left: Kaylen, Lane (they're brothers), and Dan after they terrorized me enough to get off my floaty and give it to them. (20 cannon balls did the trick)
Being goofy
Joe (Dan's little bro) and Lane thought they were really good at hiding
Kaylen just chillin (this is what I attempted to do before the cannon ball business)
From the left: Joe, Dan and Lane playing in the kiddie pool with the fountain...pretty sure they broke the fountain but shhhhh, we won't tell :)
