Checkin' In

Hello, I've been pretty busy with work and such lately. Football starts this weekend, along with volleyball which I am in charge of. I'll be at a volleyball tournament all weekend (YAY lol) but the up side, Alex is going to be here for the weekend so that will be nice. I'll put some pics up soon!

We had a day off on Saturday so a couple people from work took out one of our co-workers jetskis. The lake was pretty cool, we got a prime spot on the shore and soaked up some awesome rays in the 94 degree weather (aka perfect). We're probably going to go out this weekend too :)

Football 101 and Kick-off Cookout

Last week was very busy (technically 2 weeks ago). Thursday was Football 101 where women are invited to a dinner, drink and fun night to learn more about football and ask any questions they might have. It was really fun to help plan and set up. Saturday was the annual Kick-off Cookout for North Texas Athletics and a lot of my blood, sweat and tears...well maybe not tears but lots of sweat for sure was put into making everything happen. It took all week preparing everything but Friday and Saturday (Aug 1 and 2) we put up tables, 300 some chairs and I even got to drive the 2008 Lexus IS250 that the athletic department is raffling off. All-in-all the event turned out to be a big hit, even through the 106 degree heat. After it was over the employees went out for a little R&R. Ladies havin a good ol time at Football 101

Mariners come to Texas

My friend Jessica, who I work with, and I decided to catch a baseball game. Well the truth is I wanted to watch the Mariners and I asked her to tag along so I didn't go alone. We got some awesome tickets from a friend that were right behind the Mariner dugout, 14 rows up. They were great and we had a lot of fun. It was Jess's first Rangers game and she's lived here 4 years!

Red Hot Summer

It has been so hot here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for the past week or so. It has been over a 100 for days and days and it's starting to wear on people. This morning the Today Show reported about it, so that means it is hot :) Hopefully it cools down again soon so it's at least comfortable to be outside.
